Data availability – Werris Creek industry station did not report PM2.5 data for autumn 2026 due to an instrument fault.
Trends
Another autumn with good air quality
The region experienced one day above national benchmarks in autumn 2026, the same as in autumn 2025. The AQC breakdown is consistent with most recent autumn seasons.
Low rolling annual particle levels continued
Rolling 12-month PM10 and PM2.5 averages at all stations to the end of autumn 2026 (from 1 June 2025 to 31 May 2026) have remained below relevant benchmarks since the 12-month period to the end of autumn 2020, when air quality was significantly affected by bushfires and dust storms in 2019 and 2020.
